Introduction to the book objects

Book objects transform the traditional medium of the book into a multi-layered, sensually experiential space of images and memories. Unlike the classic book, which subordinates language and images to the narrative, here materials, structures, and relics come to the fore. They become carriers of meaning that is revealed not through linear reading, but through observation and association.

The works tie in with early forms of collection such as herbariums or reliquaries, while at the same time recalling intimate commemorative rituals such as poetry albums. But they subvert these traditions by placing objects, fragments, and signs in new, often contradictory contexts. The visible refers to the invisible, to memories, to cultural and personal layers.

The result is book reliefs that oscillate between archive and relic, between scientific order and poetic enigma. They turn the book into an object of experience that is less to be read than to be touched, viewed, and imagined.
