The portfolio Skizzen in Zink (Sketches in Zinc) brings together drawings that were etched directly into prepared zinc plates. These are working notes in the medium of etching that visualize the process of sculptural ideas—transitions between animal bodies, machine fragments, and imaginary constructions.
The sketches are not merely preliminary stages, but independent works of art: open thinking, experimentation, tentative searching. Every line, every combination of animal body and mechanism remains in a state of limbo – between nature study and construction, between myth and technical utopia.
